About the Role
Bolton White Hotels & Apartments, a premier luxury hospitality destination located in the heart of Abuja, is seeking a diligent and experienced Cost Controller to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will oversee all financial and inventory controls, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and profitability across our 176-room hotel, conference facilities, and food and beverage outlets.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular physical stock counts across all departments including Kitchen, Bar, Housekeeping, and Maintenance, reconciling inventory against sales records.
- Monitor daily receiving reports to ensure all incoming goods match purchase orders in quality, price, and quantity.
- Calculate, monitor, and report daily and monthly Food and Beverage cost percentages against established targets.
- Analyze yield tests, recipe costing, and menu engineering alongside the culinary team to maximize profit margins.
- Audit store receiving, issuing, and transfer procedures to maintain strict internal control standards and minimize waste.
- Prepare detailed monthly cost audit reports, variance analyses, and actionable financial recommendations for executive management.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in cost control, store management, or operational accounting within the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in hospitality Point of Sale systems, inventory control software, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong numerical accuracy, sharp analytical capability, excellent negotiation skills, and high ethical standards.
