About the Role
Zigma Limited, committed to becoming Africa's leading petroleum and petrochemical company, is recruiting a Cost & Budget Lead to manage comprehensive cost control and budgeting functions across our project portfolio. This senior role combines financial oversight, system implementation, and strategic stakeholder coordination to ensure project profitability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Build and support the TEPNG Project Management System, implementing standardized cost estimation, budget tracking, and payment control processes
- Consolidate multi-project cost reports and manage cost reporting teams to facilitate timely payments and PPM activities
- Monitor Cost Control procedures, SAP tools (UNISUP & U-Cost), and invoice approval workflows in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
- Identify portfolio-level risks including budget overruns, contingencies, and cost trends with mitigation strategies
- Lead project budget preparation, consolidation, and updates in coordination with Project Teams and Finance Department
- Assess contract variations, maintain Final Cost Estimates, and generate monthly cost reports with detailed commentary
- Manage cost control and estimating resources across projects, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
- Gather and disseminate lessons learned from Nigerian projects to enhance future cost management practices
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 15 years of oil and gas industry experience
- At least 5 years in a Cost & Budget Lead or equivalent senior position
- Proficiency with project management and SAP financial systems
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership capabilities
