About the Role

We are currently seeking a talented and proactive Core Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria and play a pivotal role in managing our expanding network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, monitor, and optimize core network infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime, high availability, and optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents, acting as the primary technical escalation point for critical issues.
- Configure, manage, and secure routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, VPNs, and IPS/IDS solutions.
- Monitor key network performance metrics including latency, packet loss, throughput, and overall capacity.
- Participate in seamless network upgrades, new technology deployments, and infrastructure expansion projects.
- Implement efficient network automation and monitoring solutions using tools such as Ansible and Python.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, network topologies, standard operating procedures, and configuration records.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional technical and business teams to guarantee reliable and secure service delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong, demonstrable knowledge of routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
- Hands-on experience configuring enterprise-grade routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting languages such as Ansible and Python.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CCNP or JNCIP are a strong added advantage.
