About the Role
Strivo Labs is recruiting a Core Banking Application Engineer on behalf of an innovative financial services client building modern banking infrastructure and digital financial products in Nigeria. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to shape the future of digital banking by developing, extending, and maintaining robust core systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement new features for the core banking platform using Apache Fineract and Mifos.
- Customize platform capabilities to support internal workflows, financial products, and regulatory requirements.
- Integrate the core banking platform with third-party systems, payment gateways, and operational platforms via RESTful APIs.
- Diagnose and resolve system issues to optimize platform performance, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with the Spring Framework.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Fineract, Mifos, or similar core banking platforms is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing secure RESTful APIs.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
