About the Role
The Dangote Group is seeking an experienced and dedicated Sustainability Manager to join our corporate headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will support the Head of Sustainability in developing and embedding robust environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards across our multi-sector operations, helping us continue our legacy of responsible business practices and sustainable industrial growth in Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with diverse plant operations and functions to execute sustainability performance enhancement goals, targets, and monitoring frameworks.
- Set short, medium, and long-term sustainability targets, developing strategies for eco-friendly products, social responsibility, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate the development of comprehensive sustainability reports and certifications aligned with global frameworks such as GRI, IFRS S1 and S2, UNGC, and CDP.
- Plan and execute stakeholder engagements, materiality assessments, and actionable response plans.
- Manage the implementation of impactful sustainability campaigns and coordinate plant sustainability leads and champions.
- Drive internal and external capacity building through sustainability training, workshops, and operational policy rollouts.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Sustainability or Environment-related field, with an advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of proven corporate sustainability experience within a large organization or multinational setting.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in sustainability reporting using global standards.
- Strong data analysis, visualization, and quantitative research skills.
