About the Role
Strivo Labs is seeking a skilled Core Banking Application Engineer on behalf of our financial services client in Nigeria. In this role, you will help build and scale modern banking infrastructure and digital financial products, working with enterprise-grade platforms to deliver reliable financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, customize, and implement new features for the core banking platform using Apache Fineract and Mifos.
- Design and maintain secure RESTful APIs to integrate the core banking system with payment gateways, reporting tools, and third-party services.
- Diagnose and resolve system performance issues while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security standards.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional engineers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Write clean code, participate in code reviews, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with the Spring Framework.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Fineract or Mifos is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Demonstrated knowledge of core banking operations, financial systems, and secure API design.
