About the Role
International Breweries Plc, a proud part of the world's largest brewer, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Coordinator: Energy & Fluids to join our Africa Zone team. In this pivotal role, you will act as the single point of contact for Energy & Fluids, providing functional leadership to achieve safe, reliable, and cost-efficient plant operations across our business units.
Key Responsibilities- Define and implement the strategic direction for Energy & Fluids aligned with business goals and the Voluntary Protection Program (VPO).
- Ensure statutory compliance, stringent safety standards, and effective SHE maintenance work practices for all utilities.
- Support breweries in developing 1-year and 3-year energy glide paths, managing utilities budgets, and executing Value Analysis initiatives.
- Develop business continuity plans, monitor utilities quality parameters, and implement robust Ammonia and Steam Process Safety Management programs.
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for capital projects, ensuring optimal capacity expansion and efficient utility design.
- Facilitate skills development by coaching engineering teams and rolling out comprehensive technical packages.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related equivalent field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on industrial engineering and maintenance experience within the FMCG or beverage manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing excellence, VPO practices, and relevant OSHA or plant legislative laws.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities combined with a high bias for action.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across all organizational levels.
- Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time to support various plant locations.
