About the Role
DP World is expanding its dynamic team and looking for a dedicated Controller: Inventory (Spares) to manage our spare parts operations in Ibadan. In this critical role, you will oversee end-to-end inventory functions—from forecasting and reorder monitoring to scrap disposal and financial compliance—ensuring seamless supply chain execution for our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise day-to-day warehouse operations, maintaining optimal inventory levels for spare parts, lubricants, and tyres.
- Monitor re-order thresholds, initiate timely purchase requests, and ensure valid Purchase Orders for all incoming supplies.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and maintain accurate records across both manual systems and software platforms.
- Oversee the end-to-end scrap management lifecycle, including bid advertisements, bidder coordination, and scrap area maintenance.
- Manage financial transactions, including petty cash floats, customer payments, and proper booking of retirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and audit recommendations.
- Interface with senior procurement specialists, workshop teams, and vendors to generate weekly inventory reports.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in complete inventory management, planning, and spares forecasting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory software such as SAP, Instanta, and advanced data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of asset tracking systems, warehousing best practices, and foundational accounting principles.
