About the Role
Premiere Urgence Internationale (PUI) is a leading international non-governmental organization dedicated to providing a comprehensive response to basic needs of populations affected by humanitarian crises. We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to ensure our offices and guesthouse premises maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness. In this vital support role, you will help create a pleasant and organized environment for our national and international staff.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure thorough daily cleaning of office spaces and guesthouse premises according to PUI guidelines.
- Maintain well-equipped bathrooms with essential supplies including toilet paper, soap, and hand towels.
- Wash, dry, and iron clothes for PUI expatriate personnel, alongside restroom and household linen.
- Clean the kitchen and refrigerator regularly in the absence of a designated cook.
- Manage inventory and report on the stock of cleaning products to the line manager.
- Stock living areas with filtered water and regularly disinfect water filters.
- Ensure energy conservation by turning off lights and fans when vacating rooms.
- Basic literacy skills are essential for managing stock and following instructions.
- Prior work experience in a similar housekeeping or cleaning position is a strong asset.
- Fluent in both English and Hausa languages.
- Demonstrated commitment to NGO values, principles, and humanitarian ethics.
- High level of discretion, honesty, integrity, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt and work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
