About the Role

Nautilus Nigeria Engineering and Construction Limited (NNEC) is a globally recognized leader in providing comprehensive engineering, project support, and technical manpower services to the oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Contracts Advisor III to join our expanding team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will play a central part in driving commercial success, managing complex contracts, and ensuring flawless execution across conceptual design, FEED, and EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end contracting process, including strategy development, contractor qualification, tender issuance, and rigorous proposal evaluations.
  • Lead and support high-stakes commercial negotiations for contested contractual terms and conditions.
  • Develop detailed contracting plans, Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages, and comprehensive final contract files.
  • Facilitate internal and external kick-off meetings to ensure absolute clarity on terms, change order processes, and claims avoidance.
  • Oversee contract administration, monitor contractor performance, and manage the change control process including amendments and deviation logs.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities, evaluate subcontracting plans, and proactively advise project teams on mitigation strategies for commercial risks.
  • Develop and execute the Contract Close Out Plan, ensuring seamless settlement of all outstanding contractual items.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering is strongly preferred.
  • Extensive professional experience in contracts engineering, commercial negotiations, contractor management, and contract administration within the oil and gas or construction sectors.
  • Broad understanding of project execution principles, theories, and contracting concepts.
  • Professional certifications from recognized bodies such as ISM (CPM / CPSM), APICS, or PMP are highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to travel domestically or relocate to project sites as required.
  • Previous owner/operator experience in project management roles will be considered a significant plus.
