About the Role

KPMG, one of the prestigious Big Four professional services firms, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contracting Officer to join our dynamic operations team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering exceptional advisory and operational services to our esteemed clients, particularly within the oil, gas, and energy sectors. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external contractors to manage the full contract lifecycle, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support contract lifecycle administration activities including contract creation, documentation management, amendment tracking, and contract close-out activities.
  • Coordinate contract documentation, variation processes, and contractor correspondence.
  • Maintain comprehensive contract records, databases, and document repositories while ensuring contractual compliance.
  • Track contract milestones, deliverables, expiry dates, and key contractual obligations.
  • Prepare accurate contract status reports and support overall management reporting requirements.
  • Support tendering, award, and contract mobilization activities while assisting in the resolution of contracting issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline, with a minimum of a Second-Class Lower (2.2) GPA.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in contracting, procurement, or supply chain operations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/SCM systems, with Power BI experience as an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills suited for a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CIPS, CIMA, CFA, or Six Sigma are highly desirable.
  • Prior experience working within oil and gas, energy, or large industrial environments is preferred.
