About the Role
The Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Contract Management Lead to join our legal team at our operational headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will oversee the end-to-end contract lifecycle, ensuring all commercial agreements align with our strategic objectives, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the end-to-end contract lifecycle, ensuring timely drafting, review, negotiation, execution, and close-out of all commercial agreements.
- Supervise, guide, and mentor the Contract Management team to deliver high-quality and consistent outputs across all business units.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex contractual issues, disputes, and high-value negotiations.
- Ensure full compliance with procurement procedures, internal controls, and corporate governance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to align contract terms with operational goals.
- Monitor contract performance, maintain a centralized database, and provide periodic risk reports to senior management.
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), Barrister-at-Law (B.L.), and active qualification to practice law in Nigeria.
- Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience in legal and contract management within a manufacturing or multinational environment.
- Active membership in the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
- Strong expertise in commercial law, contract drafting, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution.
