About the Role
Homeland Integrated Offshore Services Limited, a leading indigenous multidisciplinary organization providing EPCI services to the oil and gas sector, is seeking a talented and driven Contract Advisor III to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. Key Responsibilities- Manage comprehensive contracting strategies, contractor qualification processes, bid slates, tenders, and detailed proposal evaluations.
- Develop robust Contracting Plans, Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages, and maintain accurate correspondence databases for final proposals.
- Lead or actively support high-stakes negotiations, conform contract documents, and secure necessary functional reviews from Law, Audit, and Controllers.
- Provide thorough commercial analysis, assist in obtaining senior management award approvals, and build comprehensive contract files.
- Facilitate internal and external kick-off meetings to review terms, manage change orders, and implement proactive claims avoidance strategies.
- Lead Contract Administration activities, review contractor execution plans, and expedite vital commercial documents including insurance, guarantees, and LOCs.
- Coordinate contractual correspondence, document registers, invoice approvals, and the formal change control process.
- Oversee contractor subcontracting activities, mitigate administrative issues, and rigorously track ongoing performance.
- Measure contractor performance, capture valuable lessons learned, and develop comprehensive Contract Close Out Plans and settlement agreements.
- B.Sc. Degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline is strongly preferred.
- Proven professional experience in Contracts Engineering, commercial negotiations, contractor management, and contract administration.
- Broad, practical understanding of project execution and contracting principles, theories, and concepts.
- Willingness to undertake domestic or overseas business travel and relocate to project sites as required.
- Previous Owner/Operator experience within project management roles will be a distinct advantage.
- Relevant professional certifications from recognized bodies such as ISM (CPM/CPSM), APICS, or PMP.
