About the Role
FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC, an affiliate of Royal FrieslandCampina, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our world-class operations team in Ikeja, Lagos. In this pivotal role, you will champion our operational excellence strategy, embedding a culture of ownership, waste reduction, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate work streams, project teams, and consultants to ensure successful project implementation and cross-functional alignment.
- Lead the deployment of operational excellence initiatives, driving productivity, quality, maintenance efficiency, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Apply Lean, DMAIC, 5 Why, and robust continuous improvement methodologies to resolve operational challenges and deliver measurable business results.
- Provide expert analytical support, performance reporting, and strategic insights to plant leadership.
- Drive organizational change management, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and accountability.
- Build internal capabilities by training, coaching, and mentoring team leaders and production managers on Lean principles and problem-solving tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of proven experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Project Management within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis, and change management initiatives.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.
- Lean Six Sigma certification will be a distinct advantage.
