About the Role
Eko Hotels & Suites, Nigeria's leading 5-star hospitality destination, is looking for a passionate and skilled Continental Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating exquisite dishes that delight our international and local guests, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, and ensuring impeccable kitchen hygiene. Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a wide range of high-quality continental dishes in accordance with hotel standards and recipes.
- Manage station operations, ensuring efficient food production and timely service during peak hours.
- Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards across all food preparation areas.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design new menus, seasonal specials, and upscale buffet offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels, minimize food wastage, and assist in ordering kitchen supplies and fresh ingredients.
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff and culinary interns to foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience as a Continental Chef in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or high-end catering establishment.
- Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Catering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- In-depth knowledge of international culinary techniques, food science, and kitchen safety regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- HACCP certification or advanced food hygiene training is an added advantage.
