Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), a premier federal tertiary health institution established with a rich history of healthcare excellence, is seeking a dedicated and professional Consultant Specialist Grade I in Family Medicine. Located in Ile-Ife, Osun State, our institution is committed to providing top-tier patient care, advanced medical training, and innovative research.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered primary healthcare services to individuals and families.
- Supervise, mentor, and train resident doctors, medical students, and other allied healthcare professionals.
- Participate actively in clinical ward rounds, departmental meetings, and multidisciplinary healthcare committees.
- Conduct evidence-based clinical research and contribute to academic publications in the field of family medicine.
- Ensure adherence to professional medical ethics and hospital quality assurance standards.
- Possession of an MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent primary medical qualification.
- Full registration with the Medicalisch and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with a current practicing license.
- Evidence of completion, exemption, or exclusion from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
- Postgraduate medical qualification such as the Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCN) or the West African College of Physicians (FWACP).
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and a strong commitment to medical education and patient advocacy.
