About the Role
Dragnet Solutions is looking for a dedicated and skilled Consultant Paediatrician to join our esteemed healthcare network in Benin. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive specialist paediatric care, champion clinical excellence, and provide expert medical leadership across out-patient, in-patient, and referral pathways. You will be instrumental in shaping the standard of child healthcare while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and management for routine and complex paediatric cases, serving as the senior referral point for junior medical staff.
- Supervise, train, and mentor medical officers, senior medical officers, and trainees to foster continuous clinical development.
- Drive clinical governance, medical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and patient-safety protocols.
- Collaborate seamlessly with diagnostics, pharmacy, nursing, allied health, and HMO functions to deliver cost-effective, evidence-based care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records while ensuring strict compliance with MDCN regulations and internal hospital policies.
- Possess an MBBS or MBChB from a recognized institution, with completed housemanship/internship and NYSC or a valid exemption.
- Hold a minimum of 3 years of post-fellowship specialist experience in paediatrics.
- Demonstrate proven competence in managing complex paediatric cases independently and working effectively within multidisciplinary hospital teams.
- Maintain an active, valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
