About the Role
Reddington Hospital, a leading multi-specialist tertiary healthcare provider in Nigeria, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Neonatologist to lead our advanced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). In this vital role, you will provide high-precision clinical care, managing critically ill newborns, premature infants, and complex neonatal conditions using cutting-edge medical technology.
Key Responsibilities- Direct the comprehensive clinical care of high-risk newborns and manage advanced NICU interventions including mechanical ventilation, total parenteral nutrition, and invasive monitoring.
- Collaborate closely with maternal-fetal medicine specialists during high-risk deliveries and prenatal consultations.
- Supervise, mentor, and train resident doctors, neonatal nurses, and medical officers to maintain the highest standards of pediatric care.
- Ensure adherence to international best practices and hospital protocols within the neonatal unit.
- Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP) or the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMC Paed) with a recognized sub-specialization in Neonatology.
- Must possess a valid and current practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of post-fellowship clinical experience successfully managing a tertiary-level NICU.
