About the Role

Bergstein Hospital, a leading private multi-specialist healthcare facility located in Ikorodu, Lagos, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Consultant Gynaecologist to join our dynamic clinical team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in advancing our women's health services, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment to provide comprehensive gynecological and obstetric care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert specialist consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for gynaecological and obstetric patients.
  • Manage complex cases in accordance with accepted international and national clinical standards and protocols.
  • Review diagnostic investigations, laboratory results, and imaging to provide accurate clinical interpretations.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary patient management and clinical review meetings.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely electronic and physical clinical documentation.
  • Contribute to hospital quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical governance initiatives.
  • Mentor junior medical staff, resident doctors, and nursing personnel to foster professional growth.
  • Uphold the highest standards of medical ethics, professionalism, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications
  • MBBS or equivalent primary medical qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Recognized postgraduate specialist qualification in obstetrics and gynaecology (e.g., FWACS, FNMCP, or equivalent).
  • Valid practicing licence and current registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Demonstrated clinical experience practising as a specialist or consultant gynaecologist.
  • Strong clinical judgement, problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven commitment to patient safety, clinical governance, and ethical medical practice.
