On behalf of our esteemed tertiary healthcare client, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Cardiologist to lead our cardiology department. In this vital role, you will deliver world-class cardiovascular care, oversee diagnostic procedures, and shape the future of cardiac services within a modern medical facility.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert specialist consultations, diagnosis, and comprehensive management for patients with hypertension, heart failure, coronary artery disease, and arrhythmias.
- Perform and interpret cardiovascular diagnostics including ECG, echocardiography, Holter monitoring, and stress testing.
- Manage acute cardiovascular emergencies and collaborate seamlessly with critical care and emergency response teams.
- Supervise, mentor, and train resident doctors, medical officers, and specialized nursing personnel.
- Ensure strict adherence to Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) regulations, clinical governance, and patient safety protocols.
- Possession of an MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Fellowship in Cardiology (FWACP, FMCP, or an internationally recognized equivalent).
- Current, valid practising license and full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Minimum of 5 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in a reputable tertiary or teaching hospital environment.
