About the Role
ARM Hold Co. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join ARM Trustees Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring full adherence to Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rules, guidelines, trust deeds, and internal policies, while serving as the primary regulatory liaison.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure full compliance with SEC regulations, statutory filings, and disclosures applicable to trustees and capital market operators.
- Monitor regulatory developments, assess their impact, and act as the primary liaison during regulatory inspections.
- Provide compliance oversight on commercial, private, and family trust structures, reviewing documentation prior to onboarding.
- Collaborate with Trust Advisors to manage title perfection, mortgage registrations, asset registers, and physical asset transfers.
- Oversee real estate properties under private trusts, including tenancy agreements, maintenance contracts, and property inspections.
- Conduct land and corporate searches at the CAC and land registries to verify the authenticity and ownership of pledged assets.
- Bachelor's degree in Law (Nigerian Bar call is a strong advantage), Estate Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, legal, or trust administration within a SEC-regulated or financial services environment.
- Being a SEC-sponsored individual is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of trust law, estate planning, and property-related legal requirements.
