We are currently seeking an ambitious and highly skilled Litigation Associate to join our growing legal team in Nigeria. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned legal professional to handle high-stakes cases, manage complex client portfolios, and contribute significantly to our thriving dispute resolution practice.
Key Responsibilities- Represent corporate and individual clients in various courts of superior record across Nigeria.
- Conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other complex court processes.
- Manage end-to-end litigation lifecycles, including case strategy development, witness preparation, and trial advocacy.
- Provide strategic, commercially sound legal advice to domestic and international clients on dispute resolution.
- Supervise, mentor, and guide junior associates and legal interns within the litigation department.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders while effectively managing case files and deadlines.
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized university.
- Barrister at Law (B.L) certification and called to the Nigerian Bar.
- 6 to 10 years of active post-call litigation experience within a reputable law firm.
- Proven track record of successfully handling complex commercial litigation and court appearances.
- Exceptional analytical, advocacy, negotiation, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
