About the Role

Candlelight Foundation for Children with Special Needs is a dedicated non-profit organization empowering children and individuals with special needs, autism, dyslexia, and ADHD. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Health Nurse to join our team in Ikorodu, Lagos State. In this role, you will play a vital part in promoting health, independence, and dignity for our clients through personalized care, health education, and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic nursing and community health services to clients in their homes and within the facility.
  • Monitor general health, conduct routine check-ups, and maintain accurate client records.
  • Support medication adherence and report any clinical concerns to supervising medical staff.
  • Deliver health education on nutrition, hygiene, illness prevention, and healthy living to clients and families.
  • Support elderly individuals and those living with chronic health conditions through regular home visits.
  • Assist with care coordination, appropriate referrals, and infection prevention practices.
  • Collaborate closely with Registered Nurses, caregivers, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in community health outreach programs and wellness activities as required.
Qualifications
  • Recognized qualification in Community Health Nursing with a valid professional registration/licence.
  • Previous experience in community health, elderly care, home care, or primary healthcare is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and patient-centred care skills.
  • High level of reliability, empathy, integrity, and respect for client confidentiality.
  • Willingness to travel for home visits and work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when necessary.
  • Must be based in Ikorodu, Lagos, or be willing to relocate into provided accommodation.
