About the Role

Zamfara State Government is recruiting qualified Community Health Extension Workers (SCHEW/JCHEW) to strengthen healthcare delivery across the state. As a Community Health Extension Worker, you will serve as a vital link between communities and the healthcare system, providing preventive care, health education, and basic clinical services in underserved rural areas of Zamfara State.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver primary healthcare services to assigned communities
  • Conduct health education and disease prevention programs
  • Provide immunization and maternal health services
  • Maintain accurate health records and reports
  • Identify and refer complex cases to health facilities
  • Work collaboratively with community leaders and health teams
  • Support disease surveillance and public health initiatives

Qualifications
  • Valid SCHEW or JCHEW certification from a recognized institution
  • Current and valid professional practice license
  • Nigerian citizen by birth with valid National ID or NIN
  • Age 18–40 years
  • Medically and physically fit for field deployment
  • Clean criminal record and no history of public service dismissal
  • Willingness to work in rural areas and accept deployment anywhere in Zamfara State
