About the Role
Zamfara State Government is recruiting qualified Community Health Extension Workers (SCHEW/JCHEW) to strengthen healthcare delivery across the state. As a Community Health Extension Worker, you will serve as a vital link between communities and the healthcare system, providing preventive care, health education, and basic clinical services in underserved rural areas of Zamfara State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver primary healthcare services to assigned communities
- Conduct health education and disease prevention programs
- Provide immunization and maternal health services
- Maintain accurate health records and reports
- Identify and refer complex cases to health facilities
- Work collaboratively with community leaders and health teams
- Support disease surveillance and public health initiatives
- Valid SCHEW or JCHEW certification from a recognized institution
- Current and valid professional practice license
- Nigerian citizen by birth with valid National ID or NIN
- Age 18–40 years
- Medically and physically fit for field deployment
- Clean criminal record and no history of public service dismissal
- Willingness to work in rural areas and accept deployment anywhere in Zamfara State
