About the Role
Concern on Climate Change for the Community Initiative (FOURCi) is a dynamic non-profit organization uniting academics, environmentalists, agricultural experts, and community volunteers to safeguard our climate future. Operating extensively across the BAY states (Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe), our holistic interventions span climate education, livelihood support, gender-based violence protection, nutrition, environmental sustainability, and WASH. We are currently seeking a dedicated Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM) Assistant to play a vital role in ensuring accountability, transparency, and effective communication with the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, log, and process community feedback, suggestions, and complaints through established CFM channels.
- Ensure timely referral and escalation of sensitive feedback, including protection and GBV concerns, following standard operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases of all feedback received and actions taken by relevant project teams.
- Conduct regular community outreach and awareness-raising sessions regarding the existence and usage of the feedback mechanism.
- Prepare weekly and monthly summary reports on CFM trends, community sentiments, and programmatic gaps for management review.
- Facilitate two-way communication between FOURCi and beneficiaries to promote active community participation and trust.
- Possession of a relevant Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of professional experience in humanitarian or development sectors, specifically in accountability to affected populations (AAP) or CFM roles.
- Strong interpersonal, active listening, and communication skills with the ability to engage respectfully with diverse vulnerable communities.
- Proficiency in local languages spoken in the BAY states (Hausa, Kanuri, etc.) is a strong advantage.
- Good computer literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications for data entry and reporting.
