About the Role
The Cove Apartments, a premier luxury hospitality development and upscale short-let serviced apartment complex located in the Jahi/Gwarinpa district of Abuja, is seeking a talented and motivated Commis Chef. In this role, you will work alongside our senior culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our executive travelers and corporate delegations, maintaining the highest standards of food quality and kitchen hygiene.
Key Responsibilities- Assist senior chefs in the daily preparation, cooking, and presentation of menu items across various kitchen stations.
- Ensure all food is prepared and stored in strict compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Receive, inspect, and properly store food deliveries, monitoring inventory levels and minimizing waste.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation, including equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely and smooth food service operations.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine eagerness to learn and grow in a professional kitchen.
