About the Role
Wema Bank Plc is looking for a results-driven Commercial Relationship Management Officer (CRMO) to join our vibrant sales team in Lagos. In this role, you will build and maintain valuable customer relationships, identify commercial and retail sales opportunities, and contribute directly to our branch profitability and market leadership in Nigeria's banking sector.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Commercial Relationship Management Officer, your daily duties and strategic functions will include:
- Execute branch commercial sales strategies aligned with local market conditions to achieve deposit, loan, and overdraft targets.
- Drive customer acquisition by opening various account types and cross-selling banking products.
- Conduct regular client visits and deliver professional sales presentations to prospective commercial and retail customers.
- Analyze customer financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and conduct prequalification and collateral risk assessments.
- Ensure strict adherence to KYC compliance, credit policies, and risk management frameworks to minimize fraud and loss.
- Resolve customer complaints efficiently, maintaining high service standards and turning service recoveries into business opportunities.
To be considered for this role at Wema Bank, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of a First Degree in any discipline from a recognized institution.
- Possession of a Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) professional certification is required.
- 3 to 8 years of cognate experience in sales, marketing, and relationship management within the banking sector.
- Strong analytical, financial statement interpretation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
- Digitally savvy with a proven commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
