About the Role
WTS Energy is a leading global consultancy and manpower supply company to the international oil, gas, and energy industry, delivering trusted expertise across upstream, midstream, and down-stream sectors. We are currently seeking a strategic and results-driven Commercial Operations Manager to lead our commercial function, optimize costs, and drive sustainable business growth in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Provide end-to-end commercial leadership across oil, gas, and infrastructure projects, including marginal field developments, brownfield modifications, and EPC/EPCM scopes.
- Advise management on commercial strategy, financial modeling, lifecycle costing, and value engineering to maximize value and mitigate delivery risks.
- Lead contract administration, change management processes, and claim evaluations under FIDIC and bespoke industry contract forms.
- Drive dispute resolution procedures, including mediation, adjudication, and arbitration, by providing robust commercial and contractual input.
- Develop and oversee frameworks for inter-company billing, ensuring transaction accuracy, transparency, and seamless reconciliation cycles.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to negotiate pricing, service levels, and contract amendments while optimizing project profitability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline; an MBA or advanced degree is a strong advantage.
- 8 to 10 years of professional experience in commercial operations, bid management, or proposal development within the energy, engineering, or industrial services sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract strategy, cost governance, risk management, procurement, and claims administration.
- Familiarity with FIDIC contract frameworks and inter-company billing practices.
