We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Manager to join our expert team in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will safeguard our financial interests, optimize project performance, and ensure the successful delivery of high-profile real estate developments.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Design and Build contracts, administering terms and protecting company rights and obligations.
- Own project budgets and cost-to-complete forecasts, delivering monthly commercial reports to leadership.
- Oversee all subcontracts, from procurement and tendering to variation management and final accounts.
- Review and approve subcontractor payment applications in collaboration with the Senior Quantity Surveyor.
- Maintain robust cash flow forecasting and ensure timely, accurate client payment applications.
- Provide expert commercial advice on procurement, contract administration, and risk mitigation.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, with NIQS or RICS membership preferred.
- Minimum of 14 years of commercial construction experience, including at least 5 years as a Commercial Manager on major Nigerian projects.
- Extensive knowledge of Nigerian construction contract law and standard forms of contract.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex Design and Build contracts and multi-package subcontracts.
- Exceptional commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and written communication abilities.
