About the Role

Myrtle Management Consultants is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial & Business Development Manager to spearhead commercial growth across our marine logistics and offshore service operations. In this strategic leadership role, you will identify high-value business opportunities, drive contract acquisitions, and strengthen our market presence within the Nigerian maritime and oil and gas sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, building a robust pipeline of prospective clients, projects, and contracts to increase market share.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and vessel movements to deliver actionable market intelligence and acquisition reports to Management.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including NNPC entities, IOC procurement teams, and major offshore operators.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end preparation, review, and submission of competitive NipeX tenders and commercial proposals.
  • Support and execute vessel chartering and deployment strategies to maximize asset utilization and operational profitability.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and contract acquisitions while monitoring ongoing commercial performance.
  • Provide comprehensive monthly and quarterly reporting to the Managing Director regarding business development pipelines and market performance.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Marine Transport, or a related discipline; an MBA or Master's degree is a strong advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 to 12 years of professional experience in commercial management, business development, or chartering, with at least 7 years specifically within the marine, shipping, offshore, or oil and gas industry.
  • Demonstrated success in managing NipeX tenders, IOC procurement processes, and vessel chartering operations.
  • Extensive professional network within NCDMB, major offshore operators, and relevant maritime regulatory bodies.
  • Proven expertise in contract negotiations, financial acumen, and converting market opportunities into profitable ventures.
