About the Role
Seedstars Academy is hiring a results-driven Collection Specialist in Kano to support loan repayment and portfolio quality for entrepreneurs financed under the P2S program. This central collection role combines phone-based follow-up with targeted field verification, collaborating closely with Loan Officers, coaches, and Entrepreneur Support Organizations to ensure seamless financial operations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct high-volume phone call follow-ups and digital messaging touchpoints with borrowers based on loan due dates.
- Coordinate with ESOs and coaches to drive timely repayments and monitor direct borrowers.
- Perform field visits, address verifications, and spot checks to confirm entrepreneur operations.
- Validate crop deliveries, yields, and repayment amounts using the Scribe application.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for major aggregators and ensure off-taker payments route to designated FCMB accounts.
- Provide underwriting and data collection support for upcoming cohorts across the value chain.
- Proven experience in loan collection, credit recovery, microfinance, or agri-finance operations.
- Strong phone-based communication, negotiation skills, and comfort with high daily call volumes.
- Proficiency in using mobile applications for field data collection and validation.
- Willingness to travel locally within the assigned region for spot checks and verifications.
- Fluency in English and relevant local languages spoken in Kano.
- High integrity, professionalism, and strict adherence to local regulatory compliance.
