About the Role
Aztec Microfinance Bank Limited, a licensed Tier 1 Unit-Based Microfinance Bank regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria and insured by the NDIC, is seeking a diligent and customer-focused Collection Officer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of our institution by driving effective debt recovery strategies while upholding our core values of integrity and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively follow up with customers via phone, field visits, and digital channels to ensure timely debt recovery and loan repayments.
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities, transaction logs, and customer interactions using POS systems and digital databases.
- Resolve customer payment disputes and negotiate manageable repayment plans while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory guidelines, internal credit policies, and ethical debt collection practices.
- Collaborate closely with the credit and risk management teams to identify potential delinquent accounts early.
- Minimum of an SSCE qualification; an OND in a relevant discipline is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in finance, cash handling, retail, hospitality, or debt recovery is an added advantage.
- Numerate, POS-literate, highly presentable, courteous, and customer-focused.
- Demonstrated high levels of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
