About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Coal Mine Operations Officer to coordinate daily coal loading and evacuation activities across our mine locations. In this vital role, you will oversee truck loading processes, monitor payload capacities, and ensure that all logistics operations run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company targets. You will act as a key liaison between mine operators, logistics teams, and external stakeholders to drive productivity and resolve operational bottlenecks swiftly.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily truck loading operations and monitor truck payloads to ensure optimum loading without exceeding approved vehicle capacity limits.
- Verify weighbridge tickets, waybills, truck details, tonnage, and all associated dispatch documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Track daily truck availability, total tonnage moved, turnaround times, pending vehicles, delays, and any operational constraints.
- Collaborate closely with mine operators, logistics personnel, suppliers, and drivers to resolve operational issues and achieve daily evacuation targets.
- Ensure strict adherence to mine-site safety regulations, mandatory PPE usage, vehicle safety inspections, and approved loading procedures.
- Generate comprehensive daily operational reports detailing evacuation metrics, bottlenecks, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Mining Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven experience in mining operations, logistics coordination, or heavy industry dispatch roles.
- Strong understanding of weighbridge operations, truck loading protocols, and supply chain documentation.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with diverse teams and drivers.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical capabilities for tracking metrics and resolving operational challenges.
