About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious CNG Truck Driver to manage the inbound logistics of raw materials for our cement manufacturing operations. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty CNG-powered trucks, ensuring timely material delivery, and strictly adhering to all environmental and traffic regulations to support our commitment to operational excellence and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities- Safely transport raw materials to designated plant areas while adhering strictly to scheduled Turnaround Times (TAT) and legal axle weight limits.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the CNG fuel system, engine, and truck components, immediately reporting any mechanical faults.
- Implement defensive driving and eco-driving techniques to maximize CNG efficiency, practice smooth acceleration, and minimize carbon emissions.
- Safely connect, monitor, and disconnect high-pressure CNG fueling lines while performing standard safety checks on fuel cylinders, valves, and gauges.
- Comply fully with Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) regulations, speed limits, and Dangote Group site safety standards.
- Minimum of an SSCE certificate with excellent spatial awareness and communication skills.
- Valid Nigerian Class G Heavy Truck Driver’s License and a clean driving record with no history of major vehicular accidents.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of professional experience driving heavy-duty articulated trucks within the Nigerian cement, mining, or heavy manufacturing sector.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting abilities and familiarity with CNG-powered vehicle systems.
