About the Role
Ascentech Services Ltd is currently seeking a competent and dedicated CNG Station Operator to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring critical station equipment, including compressors, dispensers, storage cascades, and control systems. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring safe, uninterrupted operations, maintaining high equipment performance, and strictly complying with established industry safety procedures in a fast-paced energy environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor CNG compressors, dispensers, storage cascades, and associated station equipment efficiently.
- Monitor operating pressure, temperature, gas flow rates, and overall equipment performance continuously.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and report gas leaks, equipment faults, or operational abnormalities promptly.
- Perform scheduled equipment start-up and shutdown procedures in strict alignment with operating standards.
- Maintain accurate daily operational logs, equipment inspection checklists, and comprehensive shift reports.
- Support routine maintenance activities and coordinate effectively with the technical team when faults occur.
- Follow rigorous safety protocols and ensure emergency systems and firefighting equipment remain fully functional.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness within the entire station premises at all times.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of proven experience in CNG station operations, industrial gas facilities, or oil and gas.
- Possession of relevant technical qualifications or certifications in CNG operations, industrial safety, or mechanical equipment operation is a strong advantage.
- Solid foundational knowledge of compressors, high-pressure gas systems, and pressure control equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to read gauges, monitor control panels, and accurately record complex operating parameters.
