Unified Payment Services Limited (UP®), Nigeria's premier financial technology company founded in 1997, is looking for a dedicated Clearing and Settlement Specialist to join our dynamic team in Lagos. In this role, you will effectively manage clearing and settlement operations, ensuring seamless transaction processing and exceptional service delivery for internal and external stakeholders across multiple payment schemes.Key Responsibilities
Manage clearing and back-office operations for supported international and domestic payment systems including Visa, MasterCard, Union Pay, and Amex.
Process, clear, and reconcile all daily transactions across various touchpoints while adhering to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Execute end-of-day transaction processing, base II reporting, and unified settler monitoring.
Handle daily clearing of POS and Payattitude acquired transactions to major international card schemes.
Provide reliable second-level support for settlement-related issues and host daily chargeback reports for partner banks.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
Minimum of 1 year of post-NYSC professional experience in financial operations, clearing, or settlement.
Professional certification such as ICAN, CIMA, or ACCA is an added advantage.
Proficiency in Advanced Excel with a high degree of accuracy and strong deductive reasoning abilities.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership competencies with a sharp eye for detail.
