About the Role
Watford Spring School is a prominent, government-approved co-educational private school located in Usiefrun, Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State, Nigeria. Operating under our esteemed motto 'Excellence and Character,' we provide a continuous educational pathway from early childhood through secondary education. We are currently seeking reliable and detail-oriented Cleaners and Janitors to join our dedicated support staff and ensure our campus remains pristine, welcoming, and conducive to academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and recreational areas on a daily basis.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and polish floors, as well as vacuum carpets and rugs across school facilities.
- Empty trash receptacles, dispose of waste safely, and maintain clean waste disposal areas.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, mirrors, and doors to maintain high visibility and hygiene standards.
- Dust and wipe down furniture, whiteboards, lockers, and other school fixtures regularly.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely in accordance with school health and safety guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly to the school administration.
- Assist with setting up venues for school events, meetings, and extracurricular activities as required.
- Possess relevant educational qualifications, school certificate, or professional cleaning experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, sanitization protocols, and safety standards.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy cleaning equipment or materials.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and punctuality with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe school environment.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work respectfully with students, teachers, and other staff members.
- Residency in or close proximity to Ughelli South or surrounding areas in Delta State is an added advantage.
