About the Role
Az-Zahrawain Integrated Academy, a reputable Islamic integrated school located in Katsina, Nigeria, is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaners and Janitorial Staff to join our vibrant school community. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the hygiene and overall presentation of our campus facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and polish floors, as well as vacuum carpets and rugs regularly.
- Empty trash receptacles, dispose of waste properly, and ensure outdoor immediate premises are tidy.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, mirrors, and school furniture using appropriate cleaning agents.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and sanitation materials as needed.
- Report any facility damages, maintenance issues, or safety hazards promptly to school administration.
- Adhere strictly to school health, safety, and sanitation protocols at all times.
- Minimum of First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) or SSCE; additional relevant qualifications are an advantage.
- Proven previous experience working as a cleaner, janitor, or in a similar housekeeping role, preferably within an educational institution.
- Good knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and the use of janitorial equipment.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to stand, bend, and lift moderate loads during work hours.
- High level of personal hygiene, integrity, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to reside within Katsina metropolis or willing to commute reliably to the school location.
