About the Role
Ebekendy Hotel & Suites is a modern accommodation located in the heart of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Cleaner / Janitor to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our guests enjoy a spotless, comfortable, and welcoming environment throughout their stay. Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and common areas in accordance with hotel standards.
- Change bed linens, replenish guest toiletries, and ensure rooms are fully prepared for new check-ins by 12:00 PM.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, dust furniture, and polish fixtures regularly.
- Collect and properly dispose of waste from all guest rooms and public spaces.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or lost and found items promptly to hotel management.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Minimum of a Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or relevant practical experience in housekeeping or janitorial services.
- Must reside within GRA Phase 2 or easily accessible areas in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a dynamic hospitality team.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, bend, and lift cleaning supplies for extended periods.
