About the Role
Living Treasure Academy, a premier private Christian primary and secondary educational institution located in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, is seeking a diligent and reliable Cleaner to join our dedicated support staff. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a pristine, healthy, and welcoming environment across our campus at 5 Treasure Drive, ensuring that our classrooms, administrative offices, and common areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for our students and teachers.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and scrubbing floors in classrooms, hallways, and offices.
- Sanitize restrooms, washbasins, and toilet facilities regularly throughout the day to maintain optimal hygiene standards.
- Empty waste bins, collect refuse, and dispose of garbage safely in designated areas.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and doors to ensure a bright and inviting appearance across the school premises.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly to the school administration.
- Manage cleaning supplies responsibly and ensure storage areas are kept organized and secure.
- Assist with setting up venues for school events, assemblies, and extracurricular activities when required.
- Minimum of a First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) or WASSCE/SSCE qualification.
- Proven previous experience working as a cleaner, custodian, or housekeeper, preferably within an educational environment.
- Strong knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and sanitation standards.
- High level of integrity, punctuality, and reliability with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a supportive team.
