About the Role
Craneburg Construction Company is one of Nigeria’s largest and most diversified private construction groups, renowned for delivering landmark infrastructure and building projects. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Civil Project Engineer to join our expanding team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising civil construction projects, ensuring that all activities are executed safely, efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards from design through completion.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and supervise civil construction activities in line with established project schedules.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents.
- Coordinate seamlessly with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Monitor site activities to ensure strict compliance with approved designs and technical specifications.
- Prepare and review method statements, work plans, progress reports, and technical documentation.
- Oversee project progress, materials management, manpower allocation, and equipment requirements.
- Conduct rigorous site inspections and ensure absolute adherence to quality standards and HSE requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and construction challenges proactively.
- Liaise with the Project Manager and key stakeholders regarding project progress and technical matters.
- Assist with quantity verification, cost control, variations, and measurement of completed works.
- Ensure proper testing, inspection, and documentation of all completed works.
- Support project handover, snagging, and close-out activities efficiently.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in civil construction and project engineering.
- Proven track record in building, infrastructure, structural, or related civil engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of modern construction methods, engineering standards, and site practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant project management software.
- Exceptional ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Professional certification or active membership with COREN or other relevant engineering bodies is a strong advantage.
