About the Role
Nexant Consulting Limited (NCL) is a premier multi-disciplinary construction management and engineering consulting firm specializing in major civil infrastructure and railway engineering works. We are currently looking for dedicated and dynamic Civil Engineers to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-impact infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze topographical maps, blueprints, geotechnical reports, and aerial photographs to plan and design infrastructure projects.
- Calculate project costs, prepare bills of quantities, and determine technical and financial feasibility.
- Prepare and modify engineering reports, detailed dimensional drawings, specifications, and construction schedules using CAD software.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensure adherence to safety standards, and report technical issues to the unit head.
- Perform structural assessments and engineering designs for both new and existing buildings, highways, bridges, and stations.
- Ensure contractors meet agreed project deadlines and maintain quality control in compliance with the organization's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Professional registration or active affiliation with relevant engineering bodies such as COREN is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in civil engineering design and construction project management.
- Proficiency in computer-assisted engineering and design software.
- Strong working knowledge of construction safety standards, environmental impact studies, and quality assurance processes.
