The St. Bridget's Schools, an established educational landmark in Aba, Abia State since 1987, is seeking a passionate and qualified Civic Education Teacher (JSS) to join our dynamic academic team. Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-compliant lessons in Civic Education for Junior Secondary School students.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, and continuous assessment tests.
- Maintain effective classroom management to foster a positive, disciplined, and interactive learning environment.
- Monitor, assess, and record students’ academic progress and behavioral development accurately.
- Encourage critical thinking, national consciousness, and active student participation during classes.
- Communicate professionally and constructively with parents, colleagues, and school management regarding student welfare.
- Participate actively in school co-curricular activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
- Minimum of NCE, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Education, Political Science, or a related social science field.
- Proven teaching experience at the Junior Secondary School level is a distinct advantage.
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian secondary school curriculum for Civic Education.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strong classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and modern instructional tools.
- TRCN certification and experience preparing students for BECE are added advantages.
