About the Role
Racham Humanitarian Academy, an educational and youth empowerment initiative run by the Racham Empowerment and Humanitarian Foundation (REHF), is seeking a passionate and dedicated Civic Education Teacher to join our team in Abuja. Operating alongside esteemed international partners like World Challenge, our academy is committed to providing free basic education and practical skills training to orphans, youths, and vulnerable children. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and comprehensive Civic Education lessons tailored to the learning needs of vulnerable youths and children.
- Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that foster critical thinking, moral values, and social responsibility.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic and personal growth.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and youth empowerment.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and international partners to integrate foundational values and practical life skills into the curriculum.
- Participate in academy meetings, community outreach initiatives, and professional development programs.
- Possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.A.Ed.), or a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in a relevant field.
- Must be completely fluent in the English language, both written and spoken.
- Demonstrated passion for humanitarian work, youth empowerment, and community development.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect effectively with vulnerable children and diverse stakeholders.
- Prior teaching experience in a formal or non-formal educational setting will be an added advantage.
