About the Role
MAX is on a mission to fix Africa's notorious last-mile delivery and online-retail problems by using mobile and web platforms to connect consumers, retail businesses, and independent drivers in real-time. We are eliminating all logistics and technology barriers that have historically prevented retail businesses in Africa from realizing their full potential. We are currently looking for a talented City Growth Manager to own the design and execution of scalable growth strategies across acquisition, activation, retention, partnerships, and revenue optimization in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute high-impact growth strategies aligned with company revenue and city expansion goals.
- Drive customer acquisition across digital, offline activations, referrals, and strategic partnership channels.
- Optimize onboarding funnels, activation journeys, and lifecycle performance to improve customer retention.
- Own critical growth metrics including CAC, LTV, conversion rates, and overall revenue growth.
- Identify and manage strategic partnerships that accelerate market penetration and city scaling.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Finance teams.
- Build a high-performing culture of experimentation, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.
- 2-5+ years of experience in Growth, Strategy, Marketing, Commercial Operations, or Business Development.
- Strong background in fast-paced startups, mobility, fintech, logistics, marketplaces, or tech-enabled industries.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and data visualization tools, with SQL or Mixpanel experience being a strong plus.
- Proven track record of scaling products, driving customer acquisition, and hitting revenue targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
