About the Role

The Bible Society of Nigeria, founded in 1966, is a faith-based organization dedicated to Bible distribution and Christian engagement across West Africa. We are recruiting a talented Church & Public Relations Officer to join our Church, Public Relations & Development (CPRD) team in Lagos. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build meaningful relationships with donors, churches, and communities while advancing our mission of biblical outreach and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and execute resource mobilization initiatives and programs to support organizational projects
  • Manage relationships with existing donors and members, ensuring satisfaction and continued support
  • Identify, prospect, and recruit new donors and members through strategic outreach
  • Deliver engaging presentations at churches, Christian organizations, and fellowship meetings
  • Develop impactful proposals and communication materials for donor engagement
  • Coordinate program and event planning activities across the organization
  • Establish and maintain a vibrant organizational presence throughout the western zone
  • Acknowledge donations promptly and manage donor relations with excellence

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.Sc./HND) in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in marketing, sales, business development, or nonprofit relations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Canva, and design software
  • Strong digital marketing skills and knowledge of nonprofit operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships across diverse church denominations
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and management skills
  • Membership in NIPR or ARCON professional bodies (preferred)
  • Age: Maximum 35 years (exceptions for candidates with 5+ years experience)
