About the Role
Tongyi Allied Mining Limited is a premier, rapidly expanding multinational mining corporation headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria, with extensive operations across multiple states. Established on modern enterprise systems, we specialize in the prospecting, mining, and processing of nonferrous metals and mineral resources. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Chinese Translator to join our professional team and facilitate clear, effective communication between our Chinese- and English-speaking management, technical experts, and operational staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide accurate, professional oral interpretation during meetings, site visits, and daily operational discussions between Mandarin and English speakers.
- Translate written documents, technical reports, emails, and corporate correspondence accurately and within required timelines.
- Assist expatriate and local teams with cross-cultural communication, coordination, and day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive corporate data, geological findings, and operational strategies.
- Support various departments including logistics, engineering, and human resources with language-related requirements as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Chinese Language, Linguistics, Modern Languages, or a related field.
- Bilingual fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, encompassing both verbal and written communication.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of professional translation or interpretation experience, preferably within a corporate, mining, or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of Chinese and Western business etiquette and cultural nuances.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and modern workplace communication tools.
- Exceptional listening skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural setting.
