About the Role
Colourbox Early Learning Hub is a vibrant early childhood care center located in Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos, dedicated to providing a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for young children. As a newly launching facility, we focus on quality care, structured learning, and holistic child development. We are currently seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Childminder / Early Years Assistant to join our growing team on a full-time basis, helping shape the foundation of our young learners aged 0 to 5 years.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Room Leader with the daily running of the room and planned educational and play activities.
- Provide warm, responsive, and attentive care to children throughout the day, supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Assist with feeding, nappy changing, toileting, sleep routines, and personal care as appropriate.
- Prepare learning resources and maintain an organized, welcoming, and safe environment.
- Observe children's interests and contribute positively to their developmental tracking and records.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across all children's areas and daily routines.
- Adhere strictly to safeguarding, health and safety, and child protection policies.
- Build positive, professional relationships with children, parents, and fellow colleagues.
- Proven previous experience working as a nanny, childminder, nursery practitioner, creche worker, or childcare assistant is highly desirable.
- An Early Years certification, Childcare qualification, NCE, or a related field is a distinct advantage, though passionate candidates with relevant hands-on experience will be considered.
- Genuine passion for working with babies and young children with a caring, patient, and nurturing demeanor.
- Strong team player who is reliable, punctual, proactive, and capable of using personal initiative.
