About the Role
H. Pierson Associates is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Security Officer on behalf of our client, one of Nigeria's leading electricity distribution companies serving the Southern zone. In this vital leadership role, you will develop and implement comprehensive security policies to protect company personnel, physical assets, and infrastructure while supporting critical energy theft and loss reduction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, develop, and manage enterprise security strategies, business continuity plans, and comprehensive security manuals covering access control, emergency response, and visitor processing.
- Implement proactive measures to safeguard facilities and personnel against external, environmental, and operational security threats.
- Lead investigations into theft, vandalism, and security breaches, ensuring rapid response and detailed incident reporting within agreed turnaround times.
- Conduct periodic security audits, risk assessments, and inspections of corporate headquarters and district field locations.
- Manage executive protection details, coordinate with external law enforcement agencies, and oversee third-party security service level agreements.
- Drive employee security awareness through regular training, safety bulletins, and strict enforcement of internal compliance standards.
- HND or Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; an MBA or Master's degree is an added advantage.
- Relevant professional security certifications are mandatory.
- Minimum of 14 years of cognate experience in the armed forces or police force (not below the rank of Captain or equivalent), including at least 5 years in a corporate security senior management role.
