About the Role
Artee Group, a leading name in Nigeria's retail and consumption space encompassing renowned brands like SPAR Park n Shop, is seeking a proactive and experienced Chief Security Officer (CSO) for our store operations. In this critical leadership role, you will oversee the Security and Loss Prevention function to safeguard company assets, employees, customers, inventory, and cash while minimizing operational losses and shrinkage. You will serve as the primary custodian of operational integrity, partnering closely with store leadership, finance, and internal audit to enforce robust internal controls, conduct thorough investigations, and drive a culture of security excellence across our dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the implementation of the Group Security and Loss Prevention Strategy and execute the annual store loss prevention plan.
- Oversee operational verification processes including purchase orders, goods received notes, stock transfers, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 transactions.
- Analyze weekly and monthly shrinkage reports to identify loss drivers and develop corrective action plans.
- Lead objective, evidence-based investigations into internal and external theft, fraud, collusion, and document falsification.
- Manage CCTV surveillance systems, review after-hours activities, and maintain critical intelligence reports.
- Ensure strict compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and standard operating procedures.
- Recruit, train, and mentor the security team while conducting regular performance reviews and capability development.
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of proven experience in retail security, loss prevention, or asset protection, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in fraud detection, investigative procedures, and inventory shrinkage management.
- Familiarity with retail enterprise resource planning systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365.
